2007 End of Year Donation Guidelines

FORM OF GIFT     ADVICE TO DONOR DEADLINE
Check  
  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form along with a check must be placed in the mail on or before December 31, 2007. Donations by check may also be hand-delivered to a T. Rowe Price Investor Center on or before December 31, 2007.
In the mail or received by December 31, 2007
Wire transfer of cash  
  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form and cash sent via wire transfer must be received by the Program on or before December 31, 2007.

Transfer of stocks from a T. Rowe Price Brokerage account  
  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form must be received by the Program via fax, mail, or hand-delivery to a T. Rowe Price Investor Center on or before December 26, 2007.

Transfer of stocks from an account at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown; E*Trade; Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.; or TD AMERITRADE to a Program account at those firms  
  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form and a copy of the completed Delivery Instructions Form must be received by the Program via fax, mail, or hand-delivery to a T. Rowe Price Investor Center on or before
    December 21, 2007.
     
  • Donors must provide the original Delivery Instructions Form to the brokerage firm holding their securities.
     
  • The brokerage firm holding the donors' securities must initiate the in-kind transfer of securities. Donors are advised to check with the brokerage firm holding their securities regarding the firm's deadlines for end-of-year transfers.

  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form and a copy of the completed Delivery Instructions Form must be received by the Program via fax, mail, or hand-delivery to a T. Rowe Price Investor Center on or before

  • Donors must provide the original Delivery Instructions Form to the brokerage firm holding their securities.
  • The brokerage firm holding the donors' securities must initiate the in-kind transfer of securities. Donors are advised to check with the brokerage firm holding their securities regarding the firm's deadlines for end-of-year transfers.

Gifts of securities in certificate form  
  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form and properly endorsed stock certificates must be placed in the mail on or before December 31, 2007. We recommend sending the certificates via registered mail insured for 2% of the value via the United States Postal Service to confirm the date the securities were mailed and to protect against loss. Certificates may also be hand-delivered to a T. Rowe Price Investor Center on or before December 31, 2007.

Mutual funds from an account at T. Rowe Price  
  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form must be received by the Program via fax, mail, or hand-delivery to a T. Rowe Price Investor Center on or before
    December 26, 2007.

Mutual funds from an account outside of T. Rowe Price  
  • A completed Program Account Form or Adding to a Program Account Form and a copy of your entire account statement must be received by the Program via fax, mail, or hand-delivery to a T. Rowe Price Investor Center before November 21, 2007.
     
  • NOTE: Transfers of mutual fund shares to the Program from an account outside of T. Rowe Price can take more than four weeks to transfer into the name of the Program.
     
  • Beginning November 22, 2007, donors are advised NOT to send requests to transfer shares of mutual funds without first consulting with the mutual fund company or broker holding their mutual fund shares to check the end-of-year transfer deadlines and informing a Program associate.

When mailing forms to The T. Rowe Price Program for Charitable Giving close to the deadline dates, we recommend sending them via certified mail. You may also fax your completed forms to 1-800-531-0347. If your donation is time sensitive, please call the Program at 1-800-690-0438 to confirm receipt. When a signature guarantee is required, you must immediately send the original signed copy via overnight delivery.

Donors are advised to seek professional tax advice regarding questions related to year-end donations to The T. Rowe Price Program for Charitable Giving.

T. Rowe Price Investor Centers are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. An asterisk (*) indicates the Investor Center has Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to noon by appointment. Two asterisks (**) indicate the Investor Center is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
